Organic Box Arrives

The long awaited Organic Box of vegetables has arrived.

Nine veg and three fruit, all organic and with less food miles on them than a pack of sugar snaps from Tesco. I ask you, they grow the sugar snaps in Africa, then strap them into a huge plane, burn loads of fuel and fly them to Tesco's in Burgess Hill.

Whats the point and besides I like to wash the dirt off my own knobbly potatoes.

Coffee in Lewes.

Took Mensahib for coffee in Lewes today, had a very nice breakfast bap, bacon, sausage and a free-range egg. Very nice way to start the day. Well, it was late morning, Mensahib does not do mornings well at the weekends.

The only problems with Lewes is it ALL uphill. There are no down hill bits at all. Anywhere.

Its like that vision puzzle where the stairs go around in a square forever going upwards.

Oh the other things that sucks about Lewes is the parking wardens. They now have a blue uniform as it was felt that this made them seem less aggressive than their last red one.

Still ,whats aggressive about giving a parking ticket to a Sunshine Coach. Hell, I mean if you can't give a parking ticket to a coach for disabled children whats the world coming to.

Got to keep the ARGUS vouchers reward scheme going eh !! Bastards.

On the Home Front

My brothers Mother comes for lunch tomorrow. A sprightly 82 year old, who can still walk into brighton or catch a plane to go off on holiday. I would like to be that fit at that age. In fact I would like to reach that age!

Cut the lawn with the shiny red mower ride on thing. Great fun even in the rain. Used the push one in the front and managed to trip over and twist my ankle. It is going to hurt tomorrow, something to look forward to.

The office has a new person starting next week, so I will have to have her sit next to me, whilst my whizzo shift buddy sits elsewhere. It never rains but it pours. If I remember, when I am stocking up for Tasty Toast & Tasty Cuppa tomorrow, I will buy the new lady a coffee mug as a welcome present.

Golfball

Meant to text Golfball Friday evening but fell asleep reading a book about Madeleine Albright.

When she was confirmed as the 64th Secretary of State of the United States, she became the first female Secretary of State and the highest-ranking woman in the history of the United States government.

Bye folks
