Yippee!!

My shift buddy returns tomorrow from her holiday. Now I have to say I like my shift buddy, she is a no nonsense sort of person, but has a great sense of humour at the same time. Now I don’t want to give you the impression that I am pleased she is back but there is a box of Elizabeth Shaw Mint Crisp Chocolates in her draw just to say Hello. . .


Better than I thought.

I had an appointment with the dietician yesterday and thought that I had put on 3 or 4 pounds in the last month. So I expected the worst, I was pleasantly surprised that I had only gained a pound. So I feel quite focused on resuming my diet. So I am still 13 lbs down and hopefully some more to come off soon.

She was pleased to see that I am mostly “veggie”, regularly have kippers, and don’t eat cakes or chocolate, though I do like granary toast!


Turning Invisible

No body has noticed that I have new glasses this week. I know they are new and my wallet certainly knows they are new but no one else has noticed. That the trouble of growing old you turn invisible. . .


On the road.

The police have launched a web site called operationcrackdon.org here is what it says:-

Anti-social driving can range from careless driver behaviour to deliberate activity. It not only affects road safety but also the quality of life in local neighbourhoods. With your help Sussex Police can crackdown on this behaviour. We are grateful to you for taking a few minutes to report an anti-social driver, not all fields are mandatory.

The chap who races up my road with no silencer your time has come. Local boy racers watch out.


Speaking of pleasing sites I saw a metal waste lorry full to the brim of crushed mangles bikes. So whilst I hope no cyclist was hurt I am pleased that it’s another hundred or so of the road.

Cyclists bring out the worst in me, dressed in their Nylon/Lycra skin tight body suits. Why do they wear it? It will make no difference to there speed, its just the “look at me syndrome”; nearly as arrogant as when they ride side by side. Arrogant bastards!!!
